The stairs hide us and it had been a while
Since I didn't feel so good
Standing in a hallway
In the city the high shades exalt the new popular
And that thing you said about being good to listen on the hammock with a shot and a record
That drips the paraffin that falls on my boy's hand

The few hammocks I laid down and the countryside I never lived
Versions that still pass like a light breeze through the ears of some people
In houses, buildings or on the car radio
On digital record players and in the backyard full of junk
Where my grandfather once rested
And where my body falls
