Encantos da Natureza
Tião Carreiro e Pardinho
Enchantments of Nature
You who never had the happiness
Leave the city and come see
My beloved countryside, my enchanted kingdom
My cherished birthplace that saw me grow
Come faster, don’t just think about it
I’m waiting to show you
I’ll show you the beautiful rivers with clear waters
And the rare beauties of our moonlight
When the moon rises behind the woods
It turns silver the vastness
Then I spend hours and hours watching
The moon bathing in the creek
Many don’t care about this moonlight
They don’t even remember to look at the moonlight in the hills
But those don’t really live, they’re just humans
Who are vegetating on this earth
When the moon hides, dawn breaks
I’ll tell you now about the sunrise
Red rays streak the horizon
The sun on the hill starts to rise
In the woods, all the birds sing
And there in the pasture, the chororó calls
The king of the yard opens his throat
Flaps his wings and sings on top of the barn
When the sun heats up, cicadas sing
In a big ruckus by the roadside
Beautiful butterflies of various colors
Come to kiss the flowers already in bloom
This little piece of enchanted land
Was blessed by our Lord
Who never lets us lack in the countryside
Health, unity, peace, and love
