A Volta do Tordilho Negro

The Return of the Black Stallion
That black stallion
I broke in long ago
At the ranch by the cliff
One day I came back
I went to answer a call
From the girl to whom I gave a flower
To make my arrival brighter
I rode that same stallion
I arrived at three in the afternoon
I spotted the ranch
From far away
A ranch hand to open the gate
I pushed the stallion and crossed
The beautiful girl at the door
Told her dad, I heard
Here comes the horse trainer
The one I gave the flower
Now I’ve fallen in love
I got off the black stallion
And took the girl’s hand
In a tender squeeze
I noticed she loved me
Without feeling anything for her
I asked for permission and went in
She was anxious for my arrival
Told me to take a seat
In a king’s chair
Soon the mate came
And I tasted the good herb
Gave me another sign of love
So I justified myself
I couldn’t resist, I kissed her
And went back to my seat
I handed her the gourd with care
I squeezed her little finger
And confessed I loved her
I asked for a year’s time
And married the beautiful girl
On the back of the stallion
I took her to my home
At the ranch by the cliff
I received two gifts
Two things a man wants
A good horse and a woman
I realized my dream
