covered in sweat
and holding the stone
still sharp
young Palestinians
seeking their enemy
showing
how much hatred
a single stone
can hold inside
they remember
their shattered land
one minute and the struggle will begin
who is David
and who is Goliath?
how many
will disappear
in a pool of blood?
a mirror shattered into a thousand pieces
a town shaken a thousand times
children's cries in narrow streets
mixed with the sound of rifles
so many deaths remembered
burning in their eyes
and today's massacre
has turned into rock and mountain
