How you are growing my child
Your laughter shines like the Sun
I think it was yesterday the first day
Son of my blood and my love

How much I saw in your eyes the look
From your mother, sweet dawn
And I kissed hope in your hands
Of being a man and remaining

How you have grown my little friend
How I like to hear you speak
And let us play and walk together and dream
Sharing your dreams and your truth

Today I want you to sleep in my arms
