Rosa Marchita

Withered Rose
I woke up with a sharp pain
I don’t really know what went down
I just saw a message that said goodbye
When just a day before, she swore her love
I smoke so much that I’ve lost my way
All the smoke makes everything feel gray
I recognize something in my storm
An old friend, it’s loneliness that’s warm
I don’t know what’s happening inside me
I feel like I could die without her love
Her scent is still on my skin, you see
Like a rose that has withered, it’s tough
I want to drown my sorrows in booze
Forget about this depression I choose
In the end, I know I’ll feel worse
How do you forget your first love’s curse?
I often talk to the Moon at night
She cries with me, it’s quite a sight
She tells me I need to let her go
That it doesn’t matter, she won’t show
I don’t know what’s happening inside me
I feel like I could die without her love
Her scent is still on my skin, you see
Like a rose that has withered, it’s tough
