Por Los Grajenses
Quintos 25
For The Grajenses
San Juan del Olmo rings out loud
The quintos are all here now
Ten young hearts, burning bright
Throwing the party of a lifetime tonight
Flags, drinks, and laughter lost in the air
Let the shared madness begin everywhere
The grajos spinning atop the roof
DJ Everon's got the groove
The square packed tight, the ground shakes below
The band's on fire, putting on a show
Leti at the bar, she looks and sighs
No more questions, it's the tenth round of the night
But we laugh and call for another round
'Cause here, joy is always found
If they knew what it feels like here
When the town's alive and won't go to sleep
Dancing together beneath a thousand flags
San Juan del Olmo never ends
If they knew the worth of a smile
When the wine flows and stays for a while
The quintos of the heart give it all
For their people, for their lives
At Pepín's bar, the story begins
Cups, hugs, and pure memories within
The Talaos play, drum and pipe sound
They lift our spirits, lift the sun from the ground
And that Sunday, oh my, what a scene
The quinta on the donkey fell, unforeseen
Ribbon run chaos, final attack
But with a cast, the dancing didn't lack
And when the sun rises, no one remembers
Who lost their phone, or who goes to the store
But we know for sure, without a doubt
This is the biggest party around
And for those who couldn't be here
For those time won't let appear
May the Virgin of the Rosary keep them near
May they keep dancing there with cheer
If they knew what it feels like here
When the town's alive and won't go to sleep
Dancing together beneath a thousand flags
San Juan del Olmo never ends
If they knew the worth of a smile
When the wine flows and stays for a while
The quintos of the heart give it all
For their people, for their lives
And for those who couldn't be here
For those time won't let appear
May the Virgin of the Rosary keep them near
May they keep dancing there with cheer
If they knew what it feels like here
When the town's alive and won't go to sleep
Dancing together beneath a thousand flags
San Juan del Olmo never ends
If they knew the worth of a smile
When the wine flows and stays for a while
The quintos of the heart give it all
For their people, for their lives
We toast to Leti, Pepín, and the Talaos
To the grajenses who never let go
To those here and those watching from above
San Juan del Olmo pulses with love
