How much I miss
I feel from our little house
Right next to the little square
From the church in the place

Still a child, I vibrated with joy
Listening to the melody
Of the bells ringing

How much I miss
The bonfires of Saint John
The groves
Adorned with balloons
That people
With their feet on the ground
Happily praying
The little band was playing
At the end of the procession

And on Sundays
I would wake up very early
Put on my little suit
And run to the chapel
I would pray just one Hail Mary
Because what I wanted
Was to stay close to her

How much I miss
The vine swings
When I hid
Grandma's slippers
