When I rode on my bay horse
With its four white feet hitting the ground, I would knock down cattle at the post
I used to be a good cowboy in the backlands
I used to be a good cowboy in pole races
I would catch cattle in the dense forest in the thicket
In the dense forest and only return at dawn
I was a renowned cowboy in the region, catching calves
Even big bulls mounted on my bay horse
