El Baile de los Condenados
Mónica Kay
The Dance of the Damned
Last night the Moon bled on the ground
I saw Pennywise dancing at the duel
Carrie was crying, dressed in fire
And Jason toasted with ice and poison
A raven from Poe offered me its wing
He said: Fear is also a weapon
In the mansion of the soul, everything is equal
Love and terror, drink from the same room
Dreams creak on the stairs
The echo of the soul already despairs
Whoever enters here loses their mind
Sanity is just an illusion
Come to the dance of the damned
Where monsters weep for their sins
Freddy sings, Chucky toasts
Dracula laughs, the soul surrenders
Promises are mixed amidst shouts
Nightmares dress up as princesses
Because in the darkest and most vivid night
Even fear comes to life
Michael looks at the clock with no minutes
Samara combs the reflection of mourning
Regan smiles, she floats in the mass
Norman Bates serves tea with a smile
In the corner, the Skin Man
Whispers into the silence: Everything is alright
And at the table at the end of the world
The clown laughs, deeply
But the most real terror has no name
He doesn't wear a mask, nor does he wear a uniform
It lives in eyes that do not look at each other
In kisses that no longer sigh
Fear is human, not supernatural
It is to love and know that it can end
It's like looking in the mirror and seeing double
Half person, half noble monster
Come to the dance of the damned
Where pain turns to gold
Fear dances with what is loved
And the heart, beats masked
Shadows don't die, they only rest
The cries are anthems of souls on the move
Because in the purest and most vivid darkness
It is where the soul, feels alive
When dawn breaks and the veil falls
Only those who are not deceived will remain
Because the true horror of the day
It's seeing the truth, with the light on
