MANDALLAH
Love Tires
I never thought I’d meet you
I never thought you’d want to hear my being
I didn’t think I just had to enjoy
I didn’t think time would run out
My mistake was believing I wouldn’t rest
In a daydream, a relic to remember
I forgot the places for us to see
I simply forgot to forget you
Why don’t you stay just a little longer?
I just want to hear you a little more
Why don’t you cry just a little more?
For you to forget me just a little more
I tripped over words and colors
In all your loves, all your pains
I found myself in jokes and embraces
All your smiles, suspicious looks
And down south, the rain falls differently
At dawn, it rises, in the morning it fades
My universe crossed in poetry
Time passed blind to the letters I wrote
The cycle closed
Inside the heart
Lying in a coffin
The voice fell silent
It hurts whoever it hurts
Waiting makes one believe
That love tires
