I am a poor wanderer

Nor do I know where I am right now
Lazy and alone in the world

I don't know how I came into the world
Nor do I know how I was raised
They say I was very young
When I became an orphan
I never met my mother
I don't know who my father was

My father was a bandit
Who died in jail
My mother was a beautiful young woman
Who died when I was born
Few come into the world
Unfortunate like me

When I was 20 years old
I wanted to start my own family
But when I was with my girlfriend
And everyone in front of the altar
Because I was nobody's son
They couldn't marry us

This wanderer is leaving now
Without direction or purpose
I don't even know where I come from
