A bright day full of sun and fragrance
Relaxed times after freedom and space
In the sky I see in shimmering air
The birds glide weightlessly

I walk through the streets a window is open
Behind it a cage made of bars
The bird inside looks up lost
How he would love to float with the others

I feel my cheerful mood fading
I don't like to see a bird in a cage

The bird in the cage I am related to him
I keep many dreams trapped inside me
I have banished some thoughts into silence
And some worries are quite dark

But I don't want to be my own prisoner
Otherwise I won't find tomorrow staying in today
My thoughts, my actions to free myself
Only this is the key to flight into the distance

With free thoughts great things can happen

The bird's vision high above in flight
Is a role model for the view of one's own life
To recognize what is truth and what is deception
And to give space to what really matters here

See each other from a distance and from a higher perspective
