Oktoberwind

Every summer, no matter how beautiful, is fleeting
Even though I still feel his warmth today
In the streets, time seems to pass somehow
Finally
And it is already getting light at just after four

A few leaves meet in a swirl
The first clouds are already gathering
Soon people will walk much too fast
Under umbrellas that are far too dark
Because autumn takes its course without consideration

A few dogs are still wandering around the lanterns
Last rays of sunshine lure you out the door
Deep within me no summer day will depart
Because the warmest of them led me to you
