Wer Hat Meine Zeit Gefunden?
Udo Jürgens
Who Found My Time
Even as a child I had so much
Wasted from my little time
I would never have believed
That you can really use them
Somewhere in small bundles
I carelessly put them back
And today I actually miss
Only the time for my happiness
I learned to read, write and count
Just not the essentials
I learned all the old norms
But not how to break them
And I began to search for the great goal that everyone needs
Only my time I never found
Is it wasted
Is it smoky
Who found my time that I somehow and when lost
Days, weeks or hours today seem precious to me
Is it possible that a bird
Has taken possession of my time
Take her in his wings
Like a big white sheet
I would have liked to write on this sheet
Sometimes I miss it so much
But what do the birds fly with
This no longer belongs to me
Could it be that despite everything
Still in my cupboards
That it continues to grow
And for many years
I would like to find the years, after all they are still mine
But who knows for what reasons
May you be hidden
Who found my time that I somehow and when lost
Days, weeks or hours today seem precious to me
Who found my time that I somehow and when lost
Days, weeks or hours today seem precious to me
La, la, la, la, la
Today it seems precious to me
Where is my time?
Hmm, where is my time
My time
