In search of myself
I actually found some things
That I wonder is it true
Is this all really me

I found the man
Who listens to others far too often
The one against injustice
And violence is not protested enough
I found the doubter
Who often lacks courage
And found the friend who has friends
And great fun in this world

I found the king
Who sits comfortably on his wealth
Like the beggar
Who lives on the edge of despair
I found the Harlequin
Who laughs loudly
So that you don't find out
How many things cause him problems

In search of myself
I actually found some things
That I wonder is it true

I found the child
Who still wants to believe in fairy tales
That cries out for attention
For warmth, love and feeling
I found the young man
He rebels
The fire stokes and yet cannot break through walls and resigns

I found the dreamer
Who floats contentedly through the clouds
And in doing so, digs a hole of illusions
I found the man who
For years
Even today, and yet there is too little to recognize

In search of myself
I found traces again and again
And if you put them together
I realize it's me
