I would love to see Syracuse
Easter Island and Kairouan
And the big birds having fun
Sliding their wings in the wind

See the gardens of Babylon
And the palace of the great Lama
Dream of the lovers of Verona
At the top of Mount Fuji

See the land of the calm morning
Go fishing with cormorants
And get drunk on palm wine
While listening to the wind sing

Before my youth fades away
And my springs are gone
I would love to see Syracuse
So I can remember it in Paris
