I painted the walls blue, You love blue so much
Violets are lined up on my window, You sing while watering
Old Turkish music on the gramophone, I know you like it
That summer, inside the house, overlooking the sea

I waited for you until morning
Suddenly the waves said, you won't come

Suddenly I ran out of the ruins, ran down to the beach
I cursed bitterly afterwards, to the wind whipping my face
