Sweets, heroes, and robots. No more sand castles by the sea,

Where once you and I believed that nothing would ever change.
I don't know how we ended up like this: being the bad
Example they once wanted to keep us away from. I'm free, fair, and happy
And I'm fine like this. I never thought I'd get lost in this society. I can blend in,
But I won't change. Did you give in to time? Did you devalue your freedom?
Did you memorize the codes? You're just one more in the crowd.
Tell me why now so afraid to play. Is it growing up, being ashamed of innocence?
Of that park where you and I used to run, where no one is running anymore.
Eraser between the fingers. Caramel honey. Crayons and playdough, a kiss, a toy,
A flower and a special letter. Being happy can be a bad example.
