Viso Di Donna

Woman's Face
There were flavors, scents, and colors
Of another spring.
And my mother was among the geraniums on the balcony.
The most beautiful for me.
Then one day I found myself
Older and more alone
And at the first hand I touched
My heart took flight,
I entered this way
Into the world I lived in here.
There's a woman's face
That always accompanies a man on the go.
The life of a man
That then becomes the story of the dreams he makes.
Missed loves,
Wrong loves,
Left to drown.
And everyone has a profile,
I know each face they have.
There's a woman's face
That always accompanies a man on the go.
A man who when
He’s left alone, knows even more.
He knows that silence
Is paid for in time, he learns it from himself.
That's why he doesn't forget
That woman's face, the most beautiful there is.
There were two pitch-black eyes,
Eyes too far from mine.
I've always wondered
What life I would have lived
If I were with her, who knows.
There's a woman's face
That always accompanies a man on the go.
The life of a man
That then becomes the story of the dreams he makes.
And if I could redo my life,
You know what I would do.
I’d want to be born old
And die a child,
And that’s what I’d want.
And even if I could
Snatch a moment more from life.
I’d want in my hands
A woman's face
But the one you have,
The one you have.
