De La Canción de Protesta

From the Protest Song

What has been said about the protest singer
that the rebellion that existed was reformed
that he wore a suit and tie,
that he brings his degree
as a noble title, that he's over it now.
That he found a place where he renounced,
ending up becoming what he protested against.

What is thought of the protest song
that was useless and in the end was proven
that today it doesn't say anything new
that it's not fashionable and has been left
there with the past and dreams
that started.
That it's the dirt of the 60s
that the hippies are gone
this, that, and much more.

That it's sung and old glories are revived
that it's kept with its case in a corner
cant of contradictions that began in others
like everything that goes backwards.

That protest is a deception for kids
that it's a waste of time and fantasizing
that if one is a socialist and once again
comes to mess with those poor ones
who don't want to work.
And this calamity has become old.

For a long time these voices have been heard
in this way they have earned their reason
with so many bad examples it would seem that their
reports are the same and who remembers
that they had a direction.

That songs and singers complained
about this world we inhabit
to make it somewhat better.

When the fool was shown the moon,
he could only see the finger that pointed at it.
I'm not one to emphasize that it's true,
but whoever said this did so with the best intentions.

I don't know how many have taken advantage of the ends
to make use of the means and take their share.
But it happens that we close the paths
when the one who shows them to us
has changed his mind.

The truth lies in the nation we have
why do we need another sign so badly.
If the discomfort is for everyone,
protest is the evidence of the dirt
that can't be covered up.
And if not, how do we learn to walk?

So what's up with the protest song
I've looked for it and found this conclusion:
as long as it says what it sees,
as long as it has an opinion that I raise and support,
how do I learn to say no?
It's natural in this place and these times,
that protest accompanies my song.
