The life of a cowboy
Is a tight life
If I stay home for a day
Fifteen or twenty on the road
On top of my mule
Cutting through the road herding the cattle

As night falls
I make my camp
Under any tree
My hammock is set
With my countryside dog
I stay up all night watching over the cattle

The day I feel sad
On the dusty road
I disguise it with the guitar
That I always keep tuned
I sing little verses
And break through the path herding the cattle
