On the heath, by the pond
Where the mist is blue
All alone, I float and the shadow stretches
In the chilly evening

There, the sky, for a few moments
Still holds some gold in its eyes
A star shines at the bottom of the pond
For lovers

I have my dreams, I have the night
And the scent of blooming flowers
I have the song of the birds
The clouds gliding over the waters

And I come to lie by the pond
