When I return to the ranch
At nightfall
From the gate I feel
Your little vine.

My mischievous monkey
Comes out to wait for me.
And between mate and mate I start
To unsaddle.

Good dry firewood
Burns in the hearth.
I also ignite the dreams
Of my heart.

Working on trails
I liked to walk.
I know the beauty and the fierceness
Of loneliness.

Always working hard
Oh, it can't be.
It's a better fate to be a tree
To bloom.
