I Lift The Cup
It's the end of the year, there are things that haven't changed
So many others forgotten, and memories that are gone
Several fears overcome, and many new challenges
For this new year that begins in an instant
It's almost twelve o'clock, colored noises are heard
Moments of reflection, with family around
Some empty chairs, others to be occupied
The people who will always be here by my side
I raise my glass and toast them
Health, dreams, and neighbors
Grandparents, children, granddaughters
And the nephews too
By nature, love
Friends and enemies
I raise my glass to toast
For peace once again
We are already close and I remember very well
From that beautiful January
How quickly our moments go by
Let's enjoy every moment
That the dark sky is already
Painting in many colors
We are already at twelve o'clock to toast to hope
I raise my glass and toast them
Health, dreams, and neighbors
Grandparents, children, granddaughters
And the nephews too
By nature, love
Friends and enemies
I raise my glass to toast
For peace once again
