Sin has wounded me
I went to Jesus, showed Him my pain
Lost and wandering, I saw His light
He blessed me with His love

On the cross, on the cross
I first saw the light
And the stains of my soul I washed away
It was there, by faith, I saw Jesus
And I'll always be happy with Him

On a cross, my good Lord
His blood was shed
For this poor sinner
Whom He saved like this

He conquered death with power
And was exalted to heaven
Trusting in Him is my pleasure
I fear not death

Though He left, I'm not alone
He sent the Comforter
Divine Spirit that today
Gives me perfect love
