A Mi Manera
Vicente Fernández
My Way
The end is drawing near
I’ll wait for it calmly
You see, I’ve been this way
I’ll tell you honestly
I lived the vastness
Without ever knowing borders
I played without rest
And in my own way
I never lived a love
That meant anything to me
I picked just one flower
And the best of every moment
I traveled and enjoyed
I don’t know if more than anyone else
Though all of this was
In my own way
Maybe I cried or maybe I laughed
Maybe I won or maybe I lost
Now I know I was happy
That if I cried, I also loved
I can keep going till the end
In my own way
Perhaps I doubted too
When I was having the most fun
Maybe I dismissed
What I cared for so much
Today I know I was firm
And that I faced being who I was
And so I managed to live
But in my own way
Because you’ll know
That a man in the end
You’ll know by how he lived
There’s no need to talk or say
No need to remember or pretend
I can keep going till the end
In my own way
