Freedom built a house up high
A house with columns
A big house that was decorated with a battlefield
A house that is your achievement

Freedom says it’s eternal
And on its roof, a flag with your name flies high
They say the road to your home is long
That the path is filled with sweat and tears
That it’s plowed by pain and disaster

On the TV
They say those who make it there
Find peace, prosperity, and happiness
And they call it culture
They call it civilization

On the way, the pilgrims wear t-shirts, charms
With the name of Freedom
They sing her name in unison
As they slowly climb the mountain

And I, with my faith
Feel part of their flow
I believe in the call of promises and sing along too

Yet, at the entrance of the house
I’m turned away, rejected, suppressed
I feel hit in the forehead
With abjection and shame

So be it

I’ll walk away from this house filled only with illusions and lies
I’ll return to the sea, crawling if I have to
I’ll go back to my waters and my lands
And I’ll take my revenge
