A Modern Tale
Once upon a time, a young guy found a place to call home
He moved out from his parents', now he’s on his own
First night alone, gaming till three in the morn'
Slept on the couch without a pillow, it was great... for a month
The bathroom drain started to complain softly
You’re forgetting I can’t wash myself, buddy!
The fridge had just water and an empty jar
And he thought: Is this normal? Feels kinda bizarre?
But the washing machine was already sending out alarms
He started a load and forgot, now the blanket smells like harm
Sunday morning, the doorbell rang loud
It was mom and auntie, chaos in the crowd
Where’s the vacuum? Where’s the mop?
He improvised with an old sock, pure letdown, nonstop
But then came the day when everything piled high
Tried folding clothes and his back said goodbye
Adulting turned into a never-ending show
Between cleaning, bills, and keeping hope aglow
Washing dishes while listening to finance podcasts
Still plays video games, but now he’s got a time limit that lasts
'Cause being an adult is laughing to keep from crying
In the WhatsApp group, he’s the organization guru
To get stains out of clothes, you gotta use soap with lemon too
