En El Monte Calvario

On Calvary's mountain
There was a cross
Emblem of shame and pain
But I love that cross
Where my Jesus died
To save the vilest sinner

Oh, I will always love that cross
In its triumphs my glory will be
And someday instead of a cross
Jesus will give me my crown

And even though the world
Despises Jesus' cross
It has great attraction for me
For on it the Lamb of God
Bore the condemnation
