I was called by Jesus

Our brothers in faith, before cruel kings
Were forced to choose
Renounce their faith, or die instead

And one by one they gave in
For they could not deny their Lord
And in the freezing cold of that place
I can almost hear their voices echoing:

The years come and go, and time has passed
But His cause, no, it hasn’t died
Now it’s our turn to embrace the cross
Renounce the world and follow Jesus

And one by one we’ll give ourselves
Our whole lives laid down on this altar
For when Heaven opens, and the trumpet sounds
We’ll be together, shouting
