How many times on this walk
It shows that I am alone
My cross seems so heavy
But I can't leave it on the way
For I am following the footsteps
Of a man who reached Calvary
Carrying a heavier cross
On which, for me, He expired

When I read the sacred pages
I feel my heart overflowing
I hear the voice of Jesus resounding
Promising to be with me
I hear Him say: My servant
You don't need to doubt me!
When you think I am so far away
I am very close to you

How many times, groaning or crying
I bow at Jesus' feet
Among tears, I keep pleading
For Him to help me carry my cross
Feeling my strength fading
And the ground to receive me
Jesus comes, carries me in His arms
And so I manage to overcome
