Questiona Ou Adora

I found myself asking: What can God do
Change all the plans, make His will come through
Do what He pleases, without explanation
Know your feelings
And assess your reaction
And if He doesn’t want to calm the wind
And if He doesn’t want to still the sea
And in the middle of this storm
You’re left with just the voice of a worshiper
And if He doesn’t want to take down Pharaoh
Lead you to the desert and leave you alone
And in the midst of adversity
An enemy army comes to confront you
What do you do?

We live in a context
Where everything has to go right
We’re so used to seeing God open doors
To see God rescue us
That when some things don’t happen
The way we expect
We get frustrated with everything
I came to understand that cave, pit, desert
Is not the absence of God
When you find yourself in those places, dear
I have an answer for you
Desert is not loneliness
Desert is the presence of God
So when you’re in those terrible places
There’s only one way to worship
Worship, worship, worship
I prefer to worship, I prefer to worship
If He does nothing, I use my faith
I prefer to worship
I prefer to worship
I prefer, I prefer
I prefer
