Tempo e Verdade

Time that destroys everything it finds
Daze of the mortals
Strength, shape, intelligence and beauty
It wears everything to dust

Whip that injures the world's back
Time, the patience torturer lurking us all
Where are those named lords of the Earth
Owners of the sky and the sea

The tyrant, the brave, the poet
Nobody remembers them anymore
Look, it has passed here a boy running
And he came back, with gray beard dragging his feet

It passes the lyre, the poem, but not the truth
God has laid on me a flame of everlasting
I will always be with Him and I'll make Him song
