Reviewing the day around six
When adding up
I owed once again
End of the year, projects on the table
Looking at me with disdain
A toast to all that wasn't done

I completed another collection
But didn't read
It remained once again as an intention
I really wanted to read the Bible every year
To be a man of prayer
To speak to everyone about salvation

Late at night around ten
I gather my failures
And throw myself at your feet
Because everything, beloved Christ
You did very well
And glorified the Father
In perfect obedience
That was attributed to me

Always like this
In the mornings I will praise you
For knowing
That your Peace will frame
My days, my time, my living
Everything that happens to me
Will exalt your glory
