Hubo Un País

There was a country a thousand years ago,
that was in trouble because there was nothing to eat.
Then prophets came to teach
with many books that needed to be studied.

Everything was read,
everything was learned
from the dream in the books.
Word by word
the tools were forgotten
for fantasy.

But then
they didn't know how to plow.
But then
they didn't know how to hammer.
But then
they didn't even know how to sew.
Because then
the tools devalued
the men.

There was a country a thousand years ago,
that learned the great lesson of surviving
and little by little learned how to use
each machine to get by.

Everything was planted
after learning
that the world is reached by sweating
second by second.
And the dream next to the tools
to repair them.

What changed
reality was working.
What changed
reality was learning.
What changed
reality was debating.
Because life is not a dream
and dreams are just dreams.
