Poeta de Jesus

I'm happy 'cause I'm a poet, a poet of Jesus
When I sing, I always talk about a heaven or a cross
I wish I had more inspiration, and through this song
To say everything about who God is
And with wisdom in the words, in well-rhymed phrases
To bless His Name
But I'm a singing poet
So I praise my Lord and thank Him for the gift
When silence comes, I sit down
And for Jesus, I create a humble song
Though lacking wisdom
But with joy, I will always be

To be famous in the valley here on earth and not have salvation
It doesn't matter if you have money in your pocket and no God in your heart
In the world, I was a poet too, but Jesus didn't want it that way
He saved my life, I recognize, so today I sing like this:
