I walked aimlessly, lost my reason on the road of life
I went the wrong way
I dove headfirst into an endless abyss, madness and sadness were parts of me
On the terrible thorn of sin I stepped
I crossed the bridge between life and death
On the other side, I saw my pieces on the ground
My soul wandered in the darkness, the Lord pulled me out of the clutches of death
He showed me the truth that I never wanted to see, I woke up from a nightmare and started living again

Today I am fine, but I have been bad before
I am a sunny day, but I have been a storm
I was a drifting boat
I was a moonless night, a summer without heat
Today I am truth, but I have been deception
I was a dry fountain, today I am an ocean
The wounded soul, the broken heart, Jesus fixed
