It's been thirty-eight years that I've been here
I really need someone to help me
But nobody saw me, nobody heard me
My hope was about to end
But then one day
Someone said: Son, ask me what you want and today I will bless you
I replied to him: Nobody helps me
All I want is to bathe in this tank
And he then spoke thus

Ah! If you knew that I could heal you
That I have living water to restore you
That I arranged this meeting with you
Just to make your miracle happen today
Get up, take your bed and start walking
I have already done the impossible, you can testify
I am bigger than the tank, I came to bring the light
I am the son of the living God, my name is Jesus

But then one day
Someone said: Son, ask me what you want and today I will bless you
I replied to him: Nobody helps me
All I want is to bathe in this tank
And he then spoke thus

And there was a man there who had been ill for thirty-eight years
And Jesus, seeing him lying there and knowing that he had been in that state for a long time
I said to him: Do you want to be well?
And the sick man answered him
Sir, there is no man who, when the water is stirred up, will put me into the pool
But as I go, another one comes down before me
And Jesus said: Get up, take up your bed and walk!
