There was a suffering in my being that I never forgot
It was when I raised my arms and accepted Christ
Everything that existed in my mind dissolved
But it was because I clung to Christ's arms

I acknowledged all my mistakes
And at the feet of Christ I went and knelt
I asked for forgiveness to be forgiven
For in heaven, pagans will not enter

And I rejected everything the world had
To gain from Him a crown
Which would bring peace in all my ways
No more struggles to exist

Today I live joyful and content, I have no regrets
I see Christ today in my life and see light in my living
For from the world where I came, where I passed through
Only pain and horrors existed, I see Christ today in my life
This is promise and debt, this is promise and debt
