I tried to speak but couldn't get close to you
In Jerusalem, at Calvary, I also cried
I didn't want to understand
If there was a reason for your punishment

That it was Jesus who resurrected me

Something made me see that your power would show
But your pain also hurt my heart
Not only a King
You were my Lord and my friend
Seeing you on that cross
A part of your pain stayed with me

Lord, show your power again
Transform death into life
For in your hands life was formed
If today I don't see you free from this cross
I will wait! Even if you fall asleep
I know you will return
You are life itself
And death will never resist you
