Acertijos En Las Tinieblas
Saurom Lamderth
Riddles in the Darkness
You wake up dazed with a terrible pain
The fall led you to a chilling place
You tread carefully because you tempt the horror
You stumble upon a ring and stash it in your pack
Down the passages, Bilbo pressed on
With the gleaming dagger he got from the trolls
Run and hurry, he ran into a big lake
He rested on its shores and Gollum appeared
Wretched, slimy, dark creature
Furious or hungry, that’s my doubt!
Rowing in his boat, he approaches silently!
Who are you? And him, my precious?
Death or glory, oh, oh, oh
The sacred tournament will now begin
Riddles, oh, oh, oh
Gollum and the hobbit will have to guess
Devours all things
Birds, beasts, plants, flowers
Gnaws at iron and bites steel
Pulverizes solid rock
Kills kings, ruins cities
And topples high mountains
Tearing down their pillars: Time
Between Gollum and the hobbit, a deal was struck
One would emerge victorious, whoever won between the two
The fight was tense, riddles without error
The first to fail would have no forgiveness
Bilbo, in a moment, unwittingly hinted
What do I have in my pocket? Now I ask you
If Gollum guessed, it could be his downfall
But Gollum failed the solution in three tries
Sings without a voice, flies without wings
Bites without teeth, speaks without a mouth!
Box without a key, door or hinge
Inside holds a treasure of gold!
Bilbo discovered the powers of the ring
The ring turned the hobbit invisible
He escaped that cave and mocked Gollum
But down the passage, he found goblins
The depths of the earth hold in their heart
The riddle that hid Lord Bilbo Baggins
Gollum lost his birthday gift
Riddles in the darkness, the struggle ended
My precious, my treasure!
