I Heard That Under the Asphalt
I heard that under the asphalt
There is a different world
With people who never saw the sun
And do not know the noises.
That there's a completely black kid
Who spends his time painting
And doesn't know the colors
He paints invented blues.
On the corner of my house
A river of ink springs up
With people just like people
But a little different.
They have a sky-blue king
Who deep down doesn't scare anyone
He can't command anyone
He's only king because he likes it.
I heard that under the asphalt
