Deus Está Por Perto

A respected prophet came to me from all over Israel
I prayed and God sent fire down from the sky
And now I'm hiding by this stream

Who’s gonna take care of me?
There’s nothing, no one to help me out
The Lord must have brought me here to let me die
And soon, soon the people will forget the old warrior

Hunger has come and I can’t find a place to get something to eat
Am I gonna die here from starvation?
God, where’s my food gonna come from?
But here comes a bird flying in the beautiful blue sky
Looks like a waiter dressed up as a vulture
And it’s bringing roasted meat in its beak and some bread too

God is near
No matter the distance or the struggle
He shows up in times of trouble
So just rest, He knows exactly what He’s gonna do
God won’t let you die
For by the stream, He takes good care of you
Even if it’s through a raven, your blessing comes
So just rest by the stream, God’s looking out for you

I take care of you, watch over you, work for you, walk with you
And you should know that even by the stream I know how to care for you
I love you, live with you, work with you, walk with you
So just rest, the process of the stream was my choice
