A Cruz do Salvador

They cut the timber,
They made a cross,
For my Savior,
Carved timber, with nails driven in,
It became heavy.
He carried the cross
He fell on the way,
But God gave him grace
Dying on the cross, for me and for you.

Before Pilate
Jesus was taken
Like a criminal,

"Are you the king of the Jews?"
Jesus said: "Indeed, I am
