Del Tiempo Perdido
Robe Iniesta
Lost Time
To be with you for hours
To be awake with you
To make the world better
And to fly I need time
Just time
To see poppies grow
To be with you in the clouds
To celebrate the moment and
To be better I need time
Just time
Walking, what it means to walk, I walked
Always on top of the clouds
Jumping over the fire of a bonfire on a San Juan night
And another spring that had to leave
Of lost time in lost causes
Never, never have I regretted
Not even when defeated, tired, forbidden
If I fall and don’t get up
If I forget, remind me
That I’m a poet and my life is a letter I write on blank pages
If I forget to say (ah-ah) that it depends on me (ah-ah)
That a red sunset, still unseen, could be seen and happily depart
If I forget, remind me
And if I forget, remind me
That I’m a poet and that my life, yeah, I write on blank pages
Maybe I’m doing well, maybe I’m rowing against the current
Of the past time
Drifting: Never, never have I regretted
Not even when touched and sunk
Only if you see me, I’ve already arrived and everything else is nothing
What does yesterday matter if I was reborn last night at dawn
Everything else, oh, oh, oh, everything else is nothing
I sense that the cold in my gaze
Wanting to never hurt you at all
Maybe I’ll deceive you, make you think I feel nothing
Wanting to not make mistakes at all
By the way, I messed up a play and
(Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah) maybe I miss you
(Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah) I don’t regret it
(Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah) maybe not at all
(Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah)
Walking, what it means to walk, I walked
Always on top of the clouds
Jumping over the fire of a bonfire on a San Juan night
And another spring, spring, spring, that had to leave
(Ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah)
(Ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah)
