Sin Fortuna

I was born without fortune and without anything
defying destiny head-on
even the most unhappy humiliated me
ignoring me all the people
does my luck suddenly change??..
and suddenly I found myself among the people.

And those people pretend to be happy
Facing a world full of lies and deceit
Hypocritical, rude, and old people
For whom money is of no use
Who die just like the poor??..
And their grave is the same hole??..

Now I go on different paths
following my destiny so alone
and among the poor I feel happy
if it's loving my eternal love
I tip my hat to the poor
and I despise even the most powerful.

I am honest and sincere, I tell you
I have carved my own destiny
promising a hand to a friend
but I never humiliate the rich.

I never had the warmth of a kiss
my poor parents worked so hard
that they never had time for that
and so I grew up
without ignoring the tears
I didn't go to school
I learned when I was older
letters don't come in when you're hungry
and there's no one to lend a hand if you're poor
that's why I return to this old town
where life treated me so badly
and this is my race
that I never leave for anything
even if I were to suffer again
