If I hadn't stopped
to tie my shoe
I would have never felt
the smell of freshly baked bread
And if I hadn't thought
of stealing that bread
I would have never imagined
that I could end up in prison
And if I hadn't thought
of ending up in prison
I would have never understood
that I am free
And if I weren't free
I couldn't stop
on the street
to tie my shoe
and steal, no
