La Fierita

The Fierita
Today’s just another day the world brings me down
It pushes me with its rush, hits like a beatdown
The space is tight, and with the dog, we’re four
The neighbor’s noise echoes through the apartment floor
I’m heading out to see what I can evolve
If I bring some cash, I’ll make my mom’s day resolve
Yesterday I told my boss off, now I’m out of a job
But that son of a bitch really humiliated me, no prob
A bit downcast, I arrive where my friends are
They’re in a mess, dealing with shady biz, bizarre
The cops show up, and now it’s a scene
Everyone’s running, and I’m blamed for their routine
Just some therapy and a kick for the pagan
Here comes Miss Eulalia, saying: “He’s a good kid, no fakin’!”
Hug the rat, I’ll get a good deal
Laughing my ass off even though life’s a raw deal
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Now my downcast mood’s turned to offended
It’s four in the afternoon, and not a dime I’ve defended
Suddenly the little hair that makes me sigh
Looks down on me, but I’m still fly
My orange hoodie, volunteer from Tennessee
What’s the lowest offer, girl, what’s it worth for me?
Seems like love’s not smiling today, oh no
I head to the neighbor’s to see if I can borrow some dough
There’s my old man sipping on some rum
And my buddy Ramiro as the curtain’s come undone
He tells me to cut that mop, that fluff
Tells me how his job was over there, it was tough
Drunk as hell, he’s throwing out lines
Asking about my buddies, calling them “the lazy designs”
He talks about life, I talk about food
Headed for half a chicken, I’m in a good mood
On my way home with a snack in hand
Down the wide block, a couple of rabbits are grand
Like in a double Nelson, I stand like a beast
Just throwing punches ‘cause at home they’re waiting for me, at least
They got me good, and I took a hit
But they didn’t leave clean, took a couple of bits
I blast a few tracks to ease the dilemma
And end up sharing dinner with my mother, no drama
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
Life hates me, but that doesn’t bother me
I put on my headphones and throw a wild party
