If I were to tell my story, maybe I would cry
Just remembering the thorny paths I've walked
Who looks at this smile full of joy
Can't imagine how many times I've cried in this life
How many times I had to lose my reason and accept to stay silent
To not cause a scandal, how many times I had to embrace those who hurt me
But none of this stopped the Lord from blessing me

Now that the valley has passed, I can say
Nothing and no one could stop me
When the time came, the door opened
They threw stones at me just to make me sad
But the more they threw, the more power I felt
And in my desert, God opened a river

And this smile is of victory
My walk is of victory
My way is of victory
My speech is of victory
Where I go, there is victory
God changed my captivity
My singing is of victory
My family is in victory
My church has victory
My story of victory
